Dont think it is possible to get balance details through NET. But, all other information is available. for eg. http://www.epfochennai.tn.nic.in is teh website for Tamil Nadu.
Pls contact your EPF office. They will def help you.
Hope, you will have your last year Annual Account Statement with you. That will have your balance till last Feb. You can add your this year contribution (yours plus co.s) to the last year balance. you will get an approx. figure. Your HR dept. will be able to help you.

As of now the only possibility is the Annual Slip given by the PF office for the period March - Feb. Currently most of the Regional PF Offices are doing rapid computerization to come out with kiosk model for better transparency but it will take time.
Check with your Company HR folks they should be in a position to issue the annual slip at least for the year 08-09

Hi, my name is Ravinder Malik, i am from faridabad, my P.F. A/c no. is HR/5572/146176. i applied for refund of my P.F. amount with my last company HCL Technologies which is located in Noida, on 1st March 2010. i had given them a cenciled check of my Standard Chartered Bank A/c. i haven't received the amount yet. HR of HCL told that with in 60 days amount will be in my a/c. Hi All,
Please know that currently there is no facility available to check your PF balance online. The only way is to ask the HR of the Company. The HR keeps PF challans for all employees and will be able to inform you about the total balance.
