Stop paying contribution to ESI and using Form 10 remove employee from contribution list. Intimate ESI, may be through a declaration form from the employee.

Esi selling is Rs-15,000/- so you can deduct the esi up to Rs-15,000/- (Rs-175/- Maximum). After increase the salary you can deduct the esi on Rs-15,000/- Only up to ending half yearly return period (Up to March). After march you can stop the deduction of esi.

Dear friend,
as per my knowladge , if employee get morethen 15000 gross salary per month he is out of covrage area so we do not deduct esi amount form his salary.

Dear all,
Even I am of the opinion that you do not need to pay contribution once the salary crosses 15000/-
First of all its difficult to track if you have many employees and second the employee would not get any benefit.

You need to pay the contribution on Rs. 18,000/-. This is his actual cash earnings and the Employee and Employer's Contribution should be on actual salary earned.
In the next revision period the employee will come out of coverage.

1) as per esi rules, if any employees comes under esi, he should be pay full contribution (eg. 1st april to 30 sept 1st half & 1st oct to 31st march 2nd half) even though he cross the esi limit
2) if he got Rs.18000, means E.S.I amount will be Rs.315

u have to report to esi office for this increment and can only stop esi payment on march or october before this u have to pay esi to that employee.
