The boolean search is a type of search that consists of three operators like "AND", "OR", "NOT" in order to get precise results.

In few scenarios, we need a combination of skills. In those cases, boolean search works.

OR Option - Used to search optional or similar words.

Boolean search in recruitment

Boolean search is an effective tool for finding relevant resumes if you construct a string with defining keywords. For example, if you want to search for a social media recruiter, you can use the following Boolean search string:

(Talent Acquisition) OR (Recruiter) AND (social media) OR (Recruiter) AND (LinkedIn hiring) OR (Instagram hiring) OR +Facebook hiring AND (Social Media Hiring).

This method allows you to narrow down your search and find resumes that match your specific criteria.
