I am working as a manager in a PSU (on probation period now). I have received a call letter from the government (public sector). They have mentioned obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from my current employer. However, I applied for the position before joining this PSU. Prior to that, I worked in a private concern. What should I do? The PSU officials are unwilling to provide me with the NOC. Is it necessary to obtain the NOC from the PSU?

Explaining the Need for an NOC
Explain the facts to your present employer (PSU) and tell them that the Government requires a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer. Even though you applied for this position before joining the PSU, since they are your current employer, you need to submit an NOC from them. Since it is a transition from a PSU to a government job, they will definitely provide you with the NOC. All the best.
