Dear All, Please let me know which labour laws are applicable to IT companies in Maharashtra state. Thanks in advance.

Please note the following:

1. Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act
2. Provident Fund Act
3. ESI Act
4. Industrial Disputes Act
5. Trade Union Act
6. Gratuity Act
7. Payment of Wages Act
8. Minimum Wages Act
9. Equal Remuneration Act
10. Maternity Benefit Act

Except for the Factory Act 1948, all other labor acts are applicable. Please go through the labor laws applicable to IT. All the best.

Hi Meghana, Bombay LWF act is applicable, but IT Act is nothing to do with labour laws, since it talks about on digital signatures, e-mails and IT security. Rgds, Suresh Ramalingam

Hi Suresh IT act has no relation with Labour but does it has any relation with IT company.Bcoz IT company has digital signature. Meghana
