Which one is best for career growth - SAP SuccessFactors or HR Generalist? In which field will I find opportunities for learning and financial growth? Please suggest.

Dear Member,

SAP is a working tool. In my opinion, it should not be considered a separate career field.

Understanding SAP

SAP is a vast integrated program that provides multiple outputs to various departments or individuals with a single entry. It helps in streamlining processes such as internal validations, costing, data analysis, etc.

Modules of SAP

SAP comprises different modules (MMD, Finance, Inventory, HR, Controlling, Taxation, Internal Controls, etc.).

Advantages of SAP Knowledge

Having knowledge of SAP is an added advantage. For instance, if you are working in the HR field and have experience in handling SAP, it can be beneficial if your future employer also uses SAP.

Importance of Field-Specific Knowledge

However, the most critical aspect is to have proper knowledge of a specific field such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Costing, etc.

Seniors can provide additional insights to the poster.
