I worked at an institution starting in September 2017. At that time, I received an appointment letter for probation. However, after that, the management did not provide any further letters to me. I took my maternity leave from September 2019 to March 2020. Now, they are telling me that I am not eligible for maternity leave. Kindly advise.

When you raise a question pertaining to a certain statutory eligibility of yours, it is very important that you provide all the relevant particulars like the type of the establishment where you work, the total number of employees as of the current date, the maximum number if any in the past, and the position of your employment. Only then can others give you an appropriate answer.
