I worked in a Pune-based company from 2014 to 2016, and they created my UAN with the Pune PF associated with it. I also worked from 2018 to November 2019 in a company with the same UAN but a different PF (Hyderabad). I am not currently working. I wish to withdraw my PF. Can I do it sequentially, or do I need to merge the two PF accounts? How can I merge the two PF accounts if I am not currently associated with any company? All Aadhar, mobile, and bank details are seeded in UAN. Please advise.

Hi Kanu,

This shouldn't be much of a problem. You could initially try merging both PF accounts through the EPFO portal. If this doesn't work out, then you could contact your last company to help you out with a transfer-in option to the PF account you hold with them so that you can conduct a withdrawal.

In the company that I work in, the BPO employees have their PF accounts at the RPFC, while the non-BPO employees have their PF accounts with the company's private trust. So, we get cases where the employees in between move from BPO to non-BPO, and it is only years after exiting that some of them realize that they have two PF accounts where one is with BPO and the other non-BPO. Our PF team then advises them on either using the EPFO portal or with the help of a Form 13 do a transfer from the BPO-RPFC to the company non-BPO trust, and then a withdrawal is done.

Mr. KANU,

This is not a big problem. First, you need to go to the EPFO portal. Then, log in with your UAN and select the online option. Choose the transfer option and fill in the details. Next, you will see two options: previous employer or present employer. Select present employer and submit. After that, contact your last working company to ensure they accept the PF transfer application. Once approved, the amount will be transferred. Proceed with the withdrawal process, where the assistance of your last company is crucial.

Alternatively, you can go to the PF office for assistance.

As advised by both above members, you cannot withdraw your PF Amount sequentially, but need to transfer to the later one and thereafter you need to withdraw

You don’t require your employer to respond back, initially you can transfer your PF through online portal.

Login to the UAN portal.
In the "VIEW" option, check the "Service History." If it shows your previous company, like the attached photo.
Go to Online services, select "One member one EPF account," then in Step 1, choose your present employer and input your UAN number. It will display your previous worked company. Select that and obtain the OTP to submit.

Stephen,

Many thanks for your help!

The only issue with your answer is that I am not currently working. Therefore, how should I proceed with the attestation since my current employer cannot provide it? As mentioned earlier, the HR from my most recent job is unresponsive.

Dear Kanu,

You have to choose the present or previous employer for attestation. The attestation will be done online through the employer portal. Whoever has a DSC will receive a message to attest to your claim/transfer. You need not worry about that part; just do what is needed on the employee's end. If the attestation is not completed by the previous or present employer, you still have the grievance cell to address.

I have two PF accounts in different companies on the same UAN number. I have already left both the companies. I have also withdrawn PF amount from one company but I am not able to withdraw PF amount of the other company, which is not showing in PF withdrawal option. How can I withdraw the amount? Please advise us without PF account transfer, is it possible to withdraw other PF amount or not?
