We would like to introduce overlapping shift system (30 minutes) due to shift handing over and taking over issue. Is it require to get approval from Factories Dept.? Please suggest.

If working hours including Shift Overlapping time is less than or equal to 8 hours per day no need to intimate any Authority.

As of now running two shifts (A & B : 6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm), would like to change to 6 am to 2.30 pm and 2 pm to 10.30 pm), which is more than 8 hours including lunch break.
