I am delighted that you found the right forum. If you need to develop like everyone else, identifying training needs is dependent on you or the organization. I describe training needs as the difference between where you are (present goals) and where you want to be (future goals). You notice needs as the difference in that the current shortcomings in terms of performance showcase the 'needs' to work on or improve.
Having set clear and definite goals for the future, if all things being equal you do not meet the goals, you need to investigate why the difference. Whatever the outcome is, the need is what you need to work upon. By listing the reasons for the failure to meet the goals, you are identifying the needs for training. I hope you will get something from this.
