Dear Seniors, I need your valuable suggestions and guidance. I am working with an MNC registered under the Haryana Shop & Establishment Act. We have branches located in different states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi.

Revising the Leave Policy

We are planning to revise our leave policy. Currently, we provide 15 days of Earned Leave (EL), 10 days of Sick Leave (SL), 15 days of Casual Leave (CL), 3 days of Paternity Leave, and Maternity Leave as per statutory compliance.

Queries on Leave Policy

I have the following queries and would appreciate your advice:

1. Should leave rules be set up as per headquarters or according to each location?
2. Can anyone provide me with the latest Leave Rules as per the Haryana Shop & Establishment Act?
3. Is providing 15 days of Earned Leave per year compliant with statutory regulations?

Your input on these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Please find the reply to your query as follows:

1. Leave rules should be set up as per HQ or according to each location. Leave rules will differ as per state.

2. Could anyone provide me with the latest Leave Rules as mentioned in Haryana Shop & Establishment? Please refer to https://www.simpliance.in/ for updates or notifications.

3. Is EL-15 in a year fine as per statutory compliance? No, EL differs from state to state; thus, you need to follow the norms of the state in which your office is located. For example, as per Bombay Shops, 21 EL is compulsory.
