Dear All,
I am pursuing MSW. I hope this would be the best platform to clarify my Doubts.
Is it mandatory to maintain all Muster Roll, Register Of Wages, Register Of Overtime separately while maintaining Register of Wages – Cum – Muster Roll under Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970? And can we maintain them in soft-copies in the prescribed format?

Dear Mageshwar You can maintain the softcopies after approval from labour department but they approved only based on manpower basis.

Under CLRA, records have to be maintained separately. However, the employer can ask for electronic maintenance of these records by writing to the labor commissioner. If the commissioner finds it in order, permission may be granted with or without limitations. This varies on a case-by-case basis and depends on the past performance of the contractor in labor returns.
