I am working with an IT company having 15 employees. We are paying ESIC but not PF as employees are below 20. Now, my company is planning to opt for a new strategy. We are hiring fresher B.Tech and M.Tech pass-outs for PHP Developer and BDM profiles. They will be hired as trainees for 6 months. After performance evaluation, they will become regular employees on the company's payroll. During the training period, they will work for 8 hours, and we will pay them a salary of 7-8 K per month.

Query on ESIC Payment for Trainees

I want to know if it is possible to hire them as trainees and not pay ESIC for the initial six months, starting ESIC payments after 6 months. If this is possible, what would be the salary structure in the offer letter? Currently, there are 3 components: Basic, DA, Conveyance allowance, and ESIC. Please provide guidance in this case.
