Dear Friends,
I am interested in knowing how to deal with the situation where employees feel that without financial rewards or salary increases, their task achievements or production must be low.
Everyone has been affected by the economic crisis. Somehow, I feel there must be other ways of motivation that employees can enjoy, though I have not figured out what to present to them without spending any money.
In this time of economic crisis, how can we motivate our employees? We are unable to increase their salaries or give them financial rewards because of budget restrictions. What other motivation means do we have?
I would be happy to hear from all of you!

Hi,
First, I want to make it clear to you that money is not the only way to motivate your employees. There are certain other tasks:
1) Appreciate your employees for any achievements they have made.
2) Encourage your team to find solutions to the financial crisis you are facing.
3) Employees are the heart of any organization, so consider providing them with food coupons or other benefits to ensure they have a better quality of life compared to others. This also helps create a positive impression of your company.
Thank you.

Thank you so much, Bhavit, for this message.
My main concern is that due to budget constraints, companies are not able to increase salaries or afford any financial rewards or anything that requires money. What are the measures one can take to face these challenges in order not to lose the best staff?
Of course, supervisors appreciate their staff when any task has been achieved, but employees would wish to receive some rewards of some kind for that. However, right now, the company can't afford it because there are many more pressing issues to be taken care of in order for the company to survive.
Any suggestions?
