HI savita, good to know that you want to make your career in HR, and really its actually the right point when you can easily switch the profile, after that someday when you'll get this kind of opportunity again then you'll think about it. in starting i don't think so that salary will matters, once you will get actual exp. in the core Exe. HR profile. then later on with in six month you can switch to some other corporate. till now its like 8-10 months only you did your TL profile. so if you are not satisfied with the current profile and wnt to do smething in HR. then go for it. salary will be there after 6-8 months. and in the meanwhile you'll learn all the HR stuff.
well my advice is that you should go for it. and learn your HR things practically soon you'll get the results in every manner. weather you can say good profile, knowledge of HR terms, salary, reputed profile in the corporate. everything will be there in next 6 months. so choose it.
please write back and tell us that you joined HR profile or not.
Thanks & Regards

Yes very truly agree with Atul's view and points.
In the starting of your career don't think of money . just learn as much as you can and improve your knowledge in the field of HR or the profile you are about to handle it.
Once you have handsome experience, then gradually your salary and position both wil change.
All the best in your career.

Well, I would say it's your choice and preference for the job profile. But still I would suggest to check the fresher packages for an HR as you will be like a fresher for HR position even if you have experience in other job profile. If they are offering the fresher package what other companies offer then only you can go for that if you want to start your career in HR bit if other companies offer better than that then look for some other opportunity to work as an HR if you find it suitable and not in hurry to move towards HR as career.

I second Mr. Atul , you must go for it as this is the right time which will never come.
If you are serious about your career and wants to go for HR, must take a step that will give you an entry into HR world wherein you can learn and reach your goal but if you wont, you would certainly repent on this decision. This stage will give you lot to learn and certainly a chance to work with Core HR soon (depending on your learning skills and efforts)
A good money and more good opportunities you can get after sometime being an HR person therefore, please do not think about money at this golden stage i would suggest you.
There are number of students who have lost the opportunities at the time and knows how it is difficult or almost impossible to join HR today after spending a span of time with other field/functions.
Yes yes to this opportunity and live your dream, get reached your target. Best of luck

Since you have done specialization in HR better you can proceed further and accept the offer of appointment as HR Executive. you can quit the present job and join in the new company/ organization. Salary is not a matter in the present scenario. Try to gain the experience and exposure in the HR field . Once you become experienced professional in HR you can draw more salary what you are expecting.
All the Best for the future HR Manager.

Dear Seniors,
I am working in a pvt. hospital since November 2009 to till date(3 1/2years) as a Secretary to the Chairman of the hospital. Meanwhile I have completed my MBA (HR) in June 2013 and I am looking for a job as a HR Assistant. Should I ask management to shift my role to HR Department or else shall I look for an opportunity outside. Now my age is 26 1/2yrs. I think considering me as a fresher may not be good. I am very much interested in developing my career in HR. Once I start as HR Assistant, I want to get certified as Payroll Executive from National Academy of Indian Payroll and then learn SAP HR. How should I utilize my current experience and how to make a good change over.
Kindly help me with some ideas.
Thanking you,

Hi Savita,
I am Srinivas, an MBA in HR passed out in 2012. I got placed immediately in few job consultancies as a recruiter with the very low package not more than 6k per month. Considering the financial problems, I joined as a sales executive in MNC company. Presently working as a BD officer with the good package. If you are very passionate towards HR then you have to work for low wages for at least 2 or 3 years till you get the good opportunity. Even MNCs will hire people who are experiences in particular domain. My suggestion was to accept the offer you got & forget about the package. At the same time, read articles/case reports related to HR. After getting some experience, go for training on any one of the certified courses in HR like payroll management, organization behavior, compensation management etc., based on your interest & market situation. Employers will show more attention if you are experienced & undergone training on certified courses.
Thank you
