Dear Member,
It is very nice that your establishment want to clear dues of ESIC. But in the remarks, you have not mentioned whether your establishment has received any notice from ESIC for payment of damages and interest on late payment of contributions, if any. Further the words C-18 or D-18 are the forms, which are used by the ESIC to claim certain pending dues from employers. I am not sure about online procedure for assessment of such pending dues.
As I understand, you cannot deposit the amounts of damages at your level since these are to be firstly assessed by the authority under ESI Act, 1948.
If your establishment desire, you can write to above department (indicating your code number and date of coverage) to intimate your establishment pending dues, if any, including interest and damages.

Dear Suchitra,
Good to see that, your orgnisation is ready to pay the dues without hesitating & hide anything else.. i appreciate this..
In this case, you may request to Regional ESIC commissioner or inspector that, you want to get done the ESIC inspection for your orgnisation as your orgnisation is become eligible for ESIC & due to some administrative reason could not got registered on time, so, with good will & good intension, employees should not suffer in term of benefits under the same as well as orgniation doesnt want to become defaulder in terms of due payment to authority.
So, You will get the ready made inspection report with due amount, which will be authoriez by ESIC authority it self. so, you dont need to exercise on the same & get ready made report & also, by this way there are chances to reduce the pently to some extend, as your showing that, your personally asking for inspection as well as your intention was good toward the social security benefits.

Dear members,
The inspection of records under ESI Act by Social Security Officer has no relation with assessment of amounts of interest and damages. The same are claimed and levied by the said department even without any verification of records on the basis of records already available with them.
Further, I understand that the said department has its own Inspection Policy and it is not necessary that the request of the employer for inspection of records will be acceded to or not.
Further the conducting of Inspection under said Act is also no base for condoning of any type of irregularity, if any, committed by the principal employer.
