Hi, I have joined in a Medical Store in order to meet my daily requirements and I have not been given any pay slips and salary certificates. I'm paid 5,000 rupees per month by cash and there is no proper documentation of it. As my salary is low and I was paid in cash so there is no EPF, TDS, etc., in my case. I really do not know about all the income tax rules at that stage of my life and neither filed any income tax returns as my salary is very low (it was only 60,000 rupees per annum).
Since I got an offer from a good MBA college and went for it to pursue my MBA. I am really worried about the background check because I do not have any proper document, however, I have managed to get my experience letter/ certificate. I even contacted the Medical Store owner he said it is impossible to provide me all those documents as it was already 2 years since I left the job. How should I go about this and prove that I am truthful?

Have you got any written instruction or order as well as signed any communication on behalf of the firm. Keep the copies of all correspondence and any other written material including e-mail addressed to you. If nothing exists, then you can vouchsafe your experience only orally.

Hi,
As per the details provided, you are currently studying MBA. Why are your worried about BGV?
If you are looking for those documents to be produced for future employment, the experience certificate which you are having is enough. Many of the pharmacists provide the salary to their employees by cash unless it it is pharmacy chain.
If possible get salary certificate from your previous employer.

Hi,
I was worked as a Community Pharmacist in a medical store after completion of my B. Pharmacy in 2017 for 1.9 years, where I used to get a low salary of 5000 rupees that too in cash payments. Since I received my salary in cash there is no proper documentation like pay slip or salary certificate was given to me. Since my salary was low there is no PF and I haven't filed any income tax returns as my salary is very low (60,000 per annum). Because at that stage in my life I really do not know the importance of Pay slips, IT returns and all. Later in 2019 I joined MBA and got selected in a MNC through campus placement.
I am really worried about the background check verification (BGV) that the MNC will do on my previous employment. However, I was issued an experience letter from the Medical store owner. I have even contacted the store owner, he said it is not possible to provide all those documents since it was already 3 years passed since I left the job. How should I go about it and prove that the details of my previous employment is correct and genuine.

You had raised the same issue on 3rd January and the members have commented on it. Repeating the same post without mentioning anything new is a misuse of the forum and is not appreciated. Additionally one more string has been opened on the same issue which is being deleted.

AS PER LABOUR LAW in a organization is having ESI applicability fall if there are minimum 10 manpower and PF applicable when there are 20 Manpower. Hence in a pharma store if that much manpower is not there .Than these all rule are not applicable. I hope you was gaining only on hand experience as a fresher/trainee. So don't bring law in between . I feel you are scared for some other reason.
