Hi,
I wanted to know that if a contract labour is transferred from one state to another it is ok to pay him the salary according to the Minimum wages of that state irrespective of what his ealier salary was.
Thanks

To me it appears to be wrong. You can not reduce pay unless worker has resigned and re-appointed with a gap at new place. RKM

Dear Amit
If you are transfer the Contract labour from one place to another, then he will become your on roll employee.
You cannot transfer the contract labour. You have to give him full and final settlement and instruct him to join in the new work place. The wage rate you can follow. But as per Interstate migrant workers act, you must pay as per his domicile state or serving state's minimum wages whichever is high.
