Let me introduce me, Pragya Joshi i'am working as a Recruiter,my employer wants to revise the designation for Developer to Functional Consultant can you please help me with how to revise designation within our organisation from lower level to senior level.
designation which we are currently following are
Jr.Application Enigneer
Assistant.Application Engineer.
Application Engineer

Team Lead.
Sr.Team Lead

Dear Pragya,
If your organization is following the grade system then you may also have to change grade of the employee when changing their designation. If you're not following grade system then you can simply change their designation by giving them promotion on paper. Giving promotion doesn't mean, you always have to give increment also, that's upto your organization. If you wish, you can give increment with promotion and designation change or you can also just give promotion with change in designation.
Just make sure to add details about their new job description and notice period (if required) on paper to avoid any future problems.
