Hi,
I have been invited to give a seminar on Human Resource Management. Can someone share with me any topics/contents/ppts that would be useful to me.
P.S: This is my first seminar as a professional, it would be awesome if you can help me start with a bang.
Regards,
Ram

I presume you are invited to participate in a seminar and you have to make some presentation. It depends on the topic or theme of the seminar, your field of interest, your field of enterprise and the level of participants. Unless you give these details it would be difficult to give any suggestions. Moreover, a presentation in a seminar should be an original work. It cannot be a borrowed one altogether.

Sir, thanks for your reply. I have been invited to give a seminar on Human Resources. It could be any function in HR. I am just not able to zero down on a topic. My audience would be MBA graduates. Yes, I second your opinion "a presentation in a seminar should be an original work. It cannot be a borrowed one altogether" I am trying to brainstorm the topics and get a rough idea... I would not replicate someone's work.

I may suggest the topic "HR in troubled times"! As could be seen it has two meanings - (1) HR is in trouble; and (2) Times are troubled and how HR should face it. You can develop on which ever direction you want to develop on. But both will converge in one point. World over economy is sluggish. Both manufacturing and service sectors are affected. What challenges these pose and what opportunities these throw up? How HR functions in organisations are affected, say by cost-cutting or outsourcing measures, and how HR has to evolve new strategies to face such situations? These can be points of interest and relevance to the audience you have. It will not be difficult to get enough material if you search the net. All the best!
