hi Dears ,
Good noon to all.
Please let me know, a payroll worker worked only one or two hours in a day, then he/she went outside for personal work and did not come back to work. So, that day will mark as absent or adjust with leave. my question is, what about that one or two hours they worked? Should we pay them? Would this hours consider as overtime or pay along with OT hours? Kindly advice.
regards,

Was the personal work authorized by Superior to Leave the Premises, if yes? For how many hours? If Already planned no plan to return to job & if the employee is covered under other than Worker then according to me that full day Should be Absent/ Leave for Payment related purpose.

Dear Friend You will find your answer in Payment of Wages Act. Look at the section where it authorises deduction on account of absence from work. Warm Regards Bharat Gera HR consultant 9322404765
