Dear GAURAV HARIT,

I failed to understand how this kind of mistake can happen.

I don't feel any one can answer you unless you provide correct and complete information.

What do you mean your company's name is wrongly registered? There are many questions to ask you.

Is your company not liable for registration and you wrongly submitted the application for registration? Under what pretend you submitted it?

Is it a mistake only in name of your company? And to what extend?

When did you registered your company? When did you submitted an application for registration and how? If online, with DSC or without DSC?

Have you made any remittance of dues so far?

When you submit any application for registration / for licence / for NOC etc. you give a declaration stating that the information or details furnished by you are true and correct to the best of your knowledge. Why you need to submit such declaration? Has such declaration no value?

After introduction of DSC for applying registration, there is no physical verification by the department, of your documents or inspection of your place of operation of business.

You may be liable for action for furnishing wrong and incorrect information / details.

You need to approach the Regional Office of Provident Fund Organisation immediately, tell your mistake and ask for cancellation of registration if it is really a mistake.

During the online registration process, the name of the company is matched with its PAN and mismatched inputs are rejected by the OLRE site itself.
Your registration seems to be old one and you cannot change / rectify it at your own. You have to approach your Regional Office with a written request and documentary evidence for correction.

Sir, I just joined company last month and they are already registerd under PF and ESIC through their consultant. He is the one to be blamed for it and it make me feel surprised to that the company owner or our last HE manager didn't find out this mistake since 2011 when they got registered under EPFO.
& the mistake was about wrong spelling in the name of company, in EPFO records it is registerd as ONE SORUCE INDIA PVT. LTD bur the correct one is ONE SOURCE INDIA PVT. LTD.
Its first time for me, that i'm dealing with such a problem so kindly show me the right way to make it right.
THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLIED

Dear Gaurav ji,
It is an error in spelling of your Company Name and all those years you are making due compliance under this wrong name.
You need to give a letter to RPFC convincing that there is a spelling mistake in your company name at the time of registration and request him to correct it. You need to submit valid documentary proof of your company name.
The change will be done by CPFC through their IT department at New Delhi.

Dear DHAVALKING77,
You are very confidently giving the solution to the queriest. Have you done any time like it? Have you edited the name of any entity in Form 5A so far?
You can not edit the name of the company in Form 5A. Correction in the name of any entity or Change of name of entity is not that easy task. You can not edit the name of any company simply submitting fresh Form 5A.
Even when the department was not IT roll out, it was very difficult task to get the name edited from the authority.
Even in case of change of name of any Private Limited or Limited Company consequent upon completing due formalities with ROC, you need to write to RPFC.

Dear korgaonkar k.a.,
plz refer to my last sentences "with request to change the name of establishment on your letter head."
i know that name of establishment in form 5a does not mean that name change in your monthly challan/ecr/form23/member pass book/14-b,7a,7q notice or any other document produce by epfo.
But it is 1st step for change name in epfo record,
with request letter for change in name you have to enclose form-5a,memorandum of articles, pan and other government license which you hold.
