Please do let me know as to what are the parameters on which background verification is conducted and how to go about conducting it?

The following are the basic parameters that you need to consider in conducting a background check:
Educational Record
Credit Record
Legal and/or Criminal Record
Employment Record
These can be easily checked and verified from local authorities on education, credit, police and on provided character references by the individuals.

Hi Seema,
for a baackground check to obe initiated we firstly do a check on the references which the employee has to provide from 2 socially responsible person from the society, his previous organization and from the freinds and relative. We need the details like the organization their address and the contact details.
We take a check on the employee application form whether the details entered are true to the sense. These are a few parameters that are carried out. if there are any other issues we touchbase with the employees's previous organization and clarify the doubts about him.

But if there is a very good recruitment you need not have a intese background check is what i feel. :) :) :)
