The formula for calculating absenteeism would be:
For weekly absenteeism calculation:
Total number of people on leave / (Total staff needs to be in the office * Number of hours)
For example:
Total number of people on leave - 5
Total staff needs to be in the office - 18
For a complete week, we calculate the number of hours as - 40 (5 * 8)
==> 5 / (18 * 40) = 1% absenteeism for the complete week.
