Hi,
There will be no notification in this regard since this is specified in the "Maternity Benefit Act, 1961" itself. It's mandatory for all employers to extend the benefit to all women employees who have worked more than 160 days in a year. Please refer to Sec. 5 of the above act for more details.

I have noticed that many companies already provide a six-month maternity leave. How did they initiate this change? Was there any formal notification issued?
