Dear Ashit,
HR plays a vital role, which can vary depending on many factors, including organizational culture and dynamics. Some key contributions from progressive HR can be:
1. Facilitating benchmarking of new operating procedures.
2. Acting as a catalyst to promote smooth acceptance of change.
3. Serving as a systems specialist on new processes, providing great support in implementation and training.
4. Communicating to provide clarity.
5. Identifying in-house talent to take on new responsibilities.
6. Integrating HR plans (recruitment, induction, training) into new processes.
Regards,
Mohit Mathur

Hello to everybody,
I am a student of NIILM University pursuing an MBA (2nd semester) with an HR specialization. I am interested in establishing my career in either training and development or the performance appraisal field. Can you all recommend which type of company would be suitable for my summer training? Thank you. I am eagerly awaiting your response.

Hello Mohit,
Welcome to citeHR.com.
As HR professionals, we are tasked with handling and directly facing employees' reactions, including our own, especially when change itself can be painful if it is deeply rooted in habits. It is crucial to approach project changes with goodwill, taking into consideration both the long-term past and future perspectives and managing the rippling effects.
I appreciate your suggested and inspiring inputs.

Hi Ashit,
There are different models of Accenture, BCG, and McKinsey groups for BPR that are readily available on the net. You can always begin with needs analysis, gap analysis, and then probably process mapping.

Business Process Reengineering, although a close relative, seeks radical rather than merely continuous improvement. It escalates the efforts of JIT and TQM to make process orientation a strategic tool and a core competence of the organization. BPR concentrates on core business processes and uses specific techniques within the JIT and TQM "toolboxes" as enablers while broadening the process vision.
