Thank you very much, LEO.
I just want to clarify this because I am a recent graduate and have been designated as such. As you mentioned, all branches of my company worldwide have only one boss (HR) in the US, and I am next to him, working under him from India.

Could anyone explain to me as to how to get into HR field.I have done my B.com and pursuing my MBA from Symbiosis through correspondence. It woul really help me if someone could guide me on this.
The reply given is correct according to me as the associate is senior to the Assistant HR manager, but I have one query. Many organizations use different terminology, and the job profile is also not exactly the same; even the designations are similar. So, how do we evaluate? Is there any common base?

Hi Smitha,
As you mentioned that you are currently pursuing your MBA in HR, you would have opportunities to start your career in the field of recruitment in small firms. You can simultaneously learn different areas of work in HR and then move into your area of interest in HR. I started my career in HR with recruitments only. After working in recruitments for nearly 2 years, I have now transitioned to core HR activities, which include recruitment, training & development, and HR generalist roles. Therefore, I believe that for freshers without any experience in HR, this could be a good path to establish their careers in HR. What do you think? Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any further clarifications.
