You should get in touch with some certification bodies, i.e., the organizations that provide such certifications, and ask them to help you understand the procedures, etc. Also, you can look for some consultants/consulting companies – these are professionals who guide companies in preparing for such certifications. Alternatively, you can have any of your employees trained in the process, and he/she can oversee the entire process within the company.
These days, we are also in the process of applying for this certification, and thus, we have selected a consultant who will assist us in preparing for it. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

The central focus of ISO certification is the preparation, development, and implementation of QMS (Quality Management System) in your firm. Quality objectives, policies, organizational structures, etc., are to be clearly defined in your quality manual (Level-1). You have to identify all the processes of your operation and should develop procedures for all processes (Level-2). Furthermore, you will have to develop work instructions to support the procedures (Level-3). All the formats and charts would fall into the Level-4 documents.
