Dear Members, I need your inputs and advice on the matter. One of our employees will receive a bonus of ₹6 lakh in February 2022 (FY 2021-22), and there will be a significant tax deduction at 30%, in addition to the TDS on the monthly salary. The employee is seeking advice on whether the bonus can be shown as an advance to defer the tax burden temporarily in this fiscal year. Then, in the next FY 2022-23, the same advance can be converted back to a bonus with the tax spread over 12 months.
