hai members,
can anybody send me the information on income tax deductions, and also for how much we can show any national savings to avoid tax deductions from our salary. is there any limit for that.

dear kavita u can visit download section, just type income tax list 2007 & u will all the information relted income tax dedcution & other relevant information.
But i have one suggestion, why u r investing in NSE, NSE will give u tax benefit but at the same time it will also consider as part of your income. NSE is also give very less retrn against amount invested, u can invest yr money in ULIP, mutula fund, insurance, mediclaim, Infrasture bonds etc...

Invest in Mutual funds(tax saving),
Life Insurance( ULIP)upto One lacs,
PPF,NSS upto 70,000/.
You can save One lac max.if invested in PPF/NSS/Life Insurance max limit is Rs.70000 and Rs.30000 more if invested in Mutual funds or Life insurance linked with Equity. Buy Medi-claim for entire family upto Rs.10,000.If getting Medical allownace then, submit chemists bill or doctor bill to claim upto Rs.15000/.You can also claim only tuition fee paid by you for your children education that come under sec:80-C(max limit:1,00,00). You can donate to PM relief fund,Army Welfare & claim 100% deduction or CRY & other insts.where you can claim 50% deduction. Give rent receipt to claim HRA or buy house & claim interest & principle paid upto One lac under Sec:80C.
