Hi, my PF withdrawal claim was rejected for the reasons below.
1) As per the transfer-in amount, the member is not an EPS member, but the employer remitted EPS, needs clarification with the revised form-3A. I'm unable to understand what it means and what needs to be done. Can someone please advise? Thanks.

You should have joined the EPF after September 2014. At the time of your joining, your PF qualifying salary was more than Rs 15,000, making you ineligible for a pension as per the law. However, the employer at that time contributed to the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS) as well. Now, the EPFO requires clarification on how this occurred, with a revised Form 3A statement. This statement should indicate that the employer's contribution is placed in the member's PF account alone, without dividing it into 8.33% for the Pension Fund and the remaining 3.67% for the PF. Please contact the previous employer who made this error.
