Good day!
I am a member of the HR department, and I have prepared the full and final settlement of one employee.
As per our company policy, the employee was required to serve a 30-day notice period, and his 30th day fell on a Sunday. Therefore, he worked until Saturday. Should I proceed with preparing the full and final settlement by his last working day on Saturday or Sunday, considering he has already been relieved from the organization?
Please advise.

Hi,
If the end date of the notice period falls on a weekend, such as Sunday, or on a national/festival holiday, then the employer, at their discretion, may relieve the employee on the prior day or a later date after the holiday period ends.
If your employee worked until Saturday, then the salary should be processed only up to Saturday, and Sunday should not be counted. By the closing hours of Saturday, the employee is already relieved, and there is no need to pay for Sunday.
