Hello friends, Please suggest if we can designate a sales executive as Executive Sales & Business Development. His job will involve both sales and business development roles. I have noticed a few designations like Executive Business Development (Inside Sales). What would be the job role for this designation? Please explain.

You can have your own treatment for designations depending on the job your personnel do. Normally, business development is an activity connected with marketing and involves activities to support sales, whereas sales involve direct activities related to meeting customers and converting them into sales.

Dear Vani Gatlewar, Probably, your focus is on the designation rather than measuring the output given by the employees. Whatever the designation may be, as long as the employees give the desired output, the designations don't matter. That does not mean that the designations are altogether useless. They are decided based on the job role, whether duties are of managerial cadre, etc.
