There are organizations that have a relocation policy for new appointments as well as for existing employees. For new appointments, if the employee relocates from his/her hometown to another place, the policy may include the actual cost of transferring personal belongings, air/train fare for self, spouse, and children, and at least 7-10 days of special leave. In the case of existing employees being transferred and relocating to a new place, the above policy will also be applicable. Some organizations also offer a one-time relocation allowance in addition to the above policies.
