Employee served 24 days and left without serving any notice period. We are not going to pay any salary or basic pay to the employee. Do we still need to contribute PF for the days the employee came to the office?

Forfeiture of salary against a shortfall in the notice period and paying PF contributions are different. While you can forfeit the payable salary towards a shortfall in the notice period, you cannot hold the PF payable to the PF office. Even if one or two days of PF are deducted, they should be compulsorily deposited with the PF office.
