Clubbing "Mentoring" and "Coaching" Together: There is a general tendency amongst HR professionals to club the concept of "mentoring" and "coaching" together. It may be noted that the former is far more comprehensive than the latter. While "mentoring" is for building personality or even the character of the mentee (learner), coaching is to build a particular skill or for a particular discipline of study.
