Dear Aditi
A nice presentation as it does not only talk about the differences between mentoring and coaching or training but also goes on to talk the process............ The important point for the mentors to understand is to be in the shoes of facilitator. most of the time we see, we as facilitators (mentors) instead of facilitating the decision making process start instructing the decision making. But the idea is to play a role that helps the mentee to decide not the mentor to instruct the decision making of the mentee....
Good One!!!!!

Hi adi3in,
Just came across this mentor ppt in this cite. I think it is terrific. I especially endorse all the tips in the tips for mentors. Do not expect to have all the answers. Very often mentors jump to give solutions. Mentors ask questions to get the mentee find out thee answers.
Thanks once again, adi.
