My company has two units in different districts of Haryana. One unit already has a factory license. Do we still need a factory license for the second unit in another district as well, or is the same license applicable there?

Dear Ravindar, Factories licence is plant-specific. Therefore, when your second unit is situated in the same premises or elsewhere in the state, you have to apply for a separate licence.

Factory License Requirement for Multiple Units

The company may be one, but a license is mandatory for each unit as they are situated in two different places in Haryana. It is good that one unit already has a factory license, and it is advisable to obtain a factory license for the second unit before facing any legal complications.
