I have worked with A, B, and C companies for 1.5 years, 6 months, and 2.5 years, respectively. My first two companies, A & B, deducted the PF, but Company C did not. I received an offer from Company D, but I need to show a total experience of 4 years, combining my time at Company C as A & B's experience is not relevant to my current work. Could this discrepancy in my past experience history via the UAN account affect my potential employment at Company D?

Dear Mr Niranjan, why you were not covered under EPF? Have you worked in that particular Company as stated in your CV Matters most. Do you have sufficient Documentary evidence to show your Employment

EPF is one way of proving work experience, but not the only document. I am sure you have salary slips/bank records of salary, appointment order etc.

Mr. Niranjan, is it that you do not want to disclose your previous work experience at all, and instead, you want to imply that you have been working with Company C all along? How will you provide the supporting documents? Also, have you settled your previous PF accounts, or have you transferred them?

Service History and UAN Details
Your service history, as available to you in your member portal of EPF, is accessible only to you and will not be reflected in the Employer's Portal. However, when you provide your UAN number, which was generated when you started working in Company A and was then continued in Company B, it will display your services with the exit date being the date of exit from Company B. This will show that you have worked with both A and B, not just with Company C alone.
Experience Certificate and PF Contribution
Additionally, from an HR perspective, an experience certificate from a company that did not provide PF to an employee would be akin to a mere piece of paper. Clearly, a company capable of issuing a certificate for 4 years, in contrast to 2.5 years, should hold more value.

I completed my degree this year and soon started searching for a job. I got a job in a company named A. Meanwhile, I also applied to other companies and received a job offer from another company, B, as a fresher. I worked with my previous company for 5 months. They created my UAN and deposited the EPF amount. They accepted my resignation properly.
