Hi all,

This post is about my PF claim rejection stating:

1) MEMBER NAME NOT PRINTED ON CANCELLED CHEQUE
2) MEMBER NAME NOT PRINTED ON CANCELLED CHEQUE

My bank did not print my name on the cheque leaf. Upon enquiring with the concerned bank, they provided me with a printed paper containing my name, IFSC, along with the bank account statement to use. Will the EPFO office accept this? What can I do because I am currently staying in a different place, and my bank branch is in another location?

Secondly, can I write my name, sign on the cheque leaf, cancel it, and submit it?

Kindly provide suggestions for this.

Thank you all in advance.

Cheque leave is not mandatory. You can upload your bank passbook, in which your name, account number, and IFSC will be printed and visible for the PF officers. The printed paper may not be acceptable because the office order specifies about cheque or passbook. Therefore, it is equivalent to a passbook, but the system will reject it. Please ensure to upload your passbook.
