These are the acts and rules that are applicable in the industrial area in Haryana.

Regarding the Rules of Haryana State, you may acquire the book on "Labour Law Rules in Haryana" written by Sh. Sukhdev Singh. This book can be found at Nand Book Stall, Sadar Bazar, Gurgaon. For the Rules of Haryana State concerning the Factories Act, 1948, you may purchase the book named 'The Punjab Factory Rules 1952' by Sh. Bhagat Singh Chawla, published at Chawla Publications (P) Ltd., Chandigarh. Bare Acts are available throughout India.

Hope this will meet your requirements to some extent.

    Dear All,

    First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the person who has provided valuable input and time in preparing this compliance chart for various sections of factory management. Upon review, it is evident that this chart aligns with the Haryana State Rules, making it highly beneficial for our Haryana HR members.

    In my understanding, as per the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, the return in Form 20 (half-yearly return to be submitted by the contractor) should be submitted not later than 30 days after the close of the half-year. The Principal Employer is required to submit the yearly return in Form 21 by February 15th, contrary to the dates indicated in the chart as July 15th and January 15th, respectively. This discrepancy does not comply with the Haryana State Rules. Haryana members, please take note. Kindly correct me if I am mistaken.

    This is for your information that The Factories Act, 1948 is a central Act. We do not have a separate Factories Act enacted state-wise. States have framed their Factory Rules.

    Dear Vipin,

    What do you mean by swift working? If you are going to start another shift in your unit, then in my opinion, you are required to give intimation in Form 11 (in duplicate) to the area Inspector of Factories now designated as Assistant Director (Industrial Safety & Health). Also, go through section 9A and schedule IV of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 before starting any additional shift.
