I was working in a Malayalam channel, and I resigned in September. From May onwards, I was on LOP due to some family matters. However, until my resignation, I was handling administrative matters of the bureau.

When I received a relieving order from HR, it stated that they had relieved me from my duties from May onwards, and that too upon my request. The same information is also included in the experience certificate. When I inquired about this, the HR person told me that they issued the certificate based on my last working day in the organization.

Is it correct, or do I have the right to receive the experience certificate and relieving order based on my resignation date?

Dear Anoop,

If your leave from May until the date of resignation was authorized and duly sanctioned, you can claim your last date of working as mentioned in the resignation letter.
