One of our employees went on compulsory leave (which is not in the record, and there is no resignation as well as not withdrawn the PF). Since the company situation was not good, and after 2 years, he is rejoining the company. Should we consider his old Employee Code, or should we generate a new Employee Code?

Hi Vinutha,
What was he doing for the past 2 years? If he worked in another company, then obtain his resignation from the previous service and create a new employee ID. Continuing with the same Employee code will be considered as continuous service, making him eligible for Gratuity and other benefits. Don't forget to link his Provident Fund (PF) to his old PF account.
