Dear friends, I am currently working in a small-sized IT company, where I oversee the entire gamut of HR and payroll functions. I have been working in this company for almost 5 years now, with a normal day shift from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. In total, I have 7 years of experience. I have recently received an offer from an MNC for a UK shift, with timings from 1 PM to 10:30 PM. The new job role is in HR operations, mainly focusing on HR reporting and analysis of HR reports, and I am getting a 30% hike on my CTC (380,000 L/A).
I have informed my current employer about the new offer, and as a counteroffer, he is offering me 400,000 L/A and 2-3 hours of work from home. I mentioned that I am considering the UK shift because of my child's school timing, allowing me to drop him off and pick him up from school. Since I have been here for 5 years and, according to my current employer, I am a valuable resource, they do not want me to leave.
Please suggest what I should do now. Should I move to the MNC or stay here? I need a justification along with your suggestion so that I can make a logical decision.

What career prospects do you see in your present company? Will you learn anything new in the MNC? What is the growth prospect of your present company? You have to analyze all these details like transfers learning values before you decide. Higher pay is not the prime criterion.

Job security is a myth.
MNCs, in general, have clear rules regarding employment, growth, and termination of employees, and HR may be more impersonal in the application of rules.
Smaller companies may not have well-defined HR manuals, etc.
If you are a good employee who adds value to the organization, then no company would change employees.
You are in reasonably good standing since the company is retaining you with higher pay.
However, weigh all factors before deciding.

It's obviously a BPO and you are getting what seem to me, a glorified clerical job
You will never meet the people, never develop any skills other than learning parts of SAP Hr module
If you want to learn more, you should work with a manufacturing or service comoany. Look for jobs in large companies but that have actual HR work, not bpo positions

If your current company is offering you time flexibility, has recognized your services, covering on CTC, I would suggest continuing until there is some other value that is much more than your current role. I feel these aspects are already being covered. The relationship between an employee and an employer should be mutual, like in your present company.
It is better to be a "Known Devil than an Unknown Angel". You never know how you will fare in a new company or if you will succeed, etc.

I suggest continuing with the present employer as they understand and require your capabilities and respect you. Specifically, you have been there for the last 5 years.
As far as knowledge is concerned, you can join any institute and learn SAP, as rightly mentioned by one of our HR professionals, the designation in an MNC is like a sugar-coated tablet; there won't be much people orientation.
