I resigned from my organization without completing the formalities before leaving. Currently, my salary and incentive are on hold. My last day was on October 4th, and I was present at the office until October 2nd. I have received a warning letter for unauthorized absence. Can my company take any legal action against me for this?

Dear Anonymous friend,

You have mentioned that you have resigned and worked until 2nd Oct, whereas your last day was 4th Oct. You left without completing the formalities on 2nd Oct. I don't understand what the hurry was in abandoning your job without waiting for another two days. Your immature action has led the management to issue a warning letter for unauthorized absence. Now the best option before you is to go back and explain your conduct.

As far as action is concerned, they will hold your pay and incentive and terminate your services. You will not be issued a relieving letter and experience certificate.
