You should have asked this question to your superior to whom you report. Which department do you work in? When did you join your company? Before joining, your company might have promulgated the Job Description (JD) in the job ad. Was this not sufficient? Secondly, at the time of the interview, did the interviewer make it clear to you about the nature of your job? Moving forward, before acquiring the position of Assistant Manager, you must have held the position of Assistant or Executive. Did you observe the duties of your superior during that time?

Also, your superior must have briefed you at the time of the interview as well as at the time of joining about the responsibilities and activities you are expected to carry out in the organization.
