Hi,

I have resigned, served a 60-day notice, and asked HR if I am willing to buy out the remaining notice, but they are not relieving me. I am not currently assigned to a project and have informed them about my family dependency.

I have received an offer and need to join early. What should I do? Any suggestions?

Hi,

What is your actual notice period in your present company? On a lighter side, any employee who states their family as a reason to quit will have an offer in hand. You cannot do anything here, rather than speak to your manager and ask him to recommend you for an early release to the HR department. Haven't you spoken about your actual notice period to your new employer? This is what happens when you take hasty decisions. Good luck though.

Have you written a letter of resignation to the company and stated that you are serving a 60-day notice period, and that you are ready to pay for the rest? Did the company reply? What is the exact content of this communication? Depending on that, a proper answer can be provided.

If the company does not respond to your letter of resignation (provided that you have proof of submitting it), then automatically your resignation shall stand accepted unless there is a rejection in writing.
