No. A bonus is a retrospective payment to an eligible employee for the services rendered by them in the accounting year for which the bonus is calculated. It is based on the performance of the establishment and is paid in the succeeding year. Therefore, resigning in the current accounting year before the disbursement of the bonus for the previous accounting year cannot disentitle the employee from receiving the bonus.
