Amendment in Eligibility for Maternity Benefit
There is an amendment in eligibility. The below amendment I found in Rajkumar Hansdah's post. I am only updating you. Please check Rajkumar Hansdah's post.
Reference: The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961
ACT NO. 53 OF 1961 [12th December, 1961.] Sec. 5 (2) No woman shall be entitled to maternity benefit unless she has actually worked in an establishment of the employer from whom she claims maternity benefit, for a period of not less than [eighty days] in the twelve months immediately preceding the date of her expected delivery.
