I had applied for PF withdrawal (Form 19 & 10C) since I was unemployed for the past 4 months, and I am awaiting the payment. Now I have got a new job where they are asking for my UAN number (received from the previous company). In this case, providing this UAN number will affect my withdrawal process (i.e., rejection). Please clarify if so. Is it possible to create a new UAN number?

Hi Buddy,

You can give your existing UAN to the current employer; it won't affect your withdrawal process because the purpose of UAN is to know your KYC details and avoid having multiple PF numbers whenever you join under a new employer.

Once you give your UAN and they load it into their system (and the PF portal) the withdrawal of PF will be stopped

As per your pf form is in withdrawal, you can tell the new employer your pf form is in withdrawal and new employer can generate new uan number.
